Refund Policy

At Tuk Tuk Thai LLC, we want every guest to have a great experience. Because we serve fresh, made-to-order food, our refund rules are a little different from retail products. This policy explains when we can offer refunds or replacements and how to request them.

1. General Rule for Food Purchases

All food is prepared fresh and is final sale once prepared or served, except in cases of:

  • incorrect items,
  • missing items, 
  • food quality/safety issues, or 
  • order damage caused by us.
     

When an issue occurs, we will do our best to make it right with a replacement, store credit, or refund, depending on the situation.


2. Dine-In Orders

If something is wrong with your meal while dining in:

  1. Please notify your server or a manager immediately during your visit.
     
  2. We will attempt to correct or replace the item right away.


Refunds for dine-in may be issued when:

  • the wrong item was served and cannot be corrected promptly, or
     
  • a verified food quality/safety issue occurred.
     

3. Takeout & Direct Delivery Orders (Placed with Tuk Tuk Thai LLC)

If you placed an order directly with us (in-store, by phone, or through our website):

  • Please contact us within 2 hours of pickup/delivery.
     
  • Provide your name, order number/receipt, and a description of the issue. Photos help if items were damaged or incorrect.
     

Eligible outcomes:

  • Missing/incorrect items: replacement or refund for the affected items.
     
  • Quality/safety concerns: replacement or refund after review.
     
  • Late pickup by customer: not refundable, since quality may be affected.
     

4. Third-Party Delivery Orders

Orders placed through third-party apps (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub) are subject to their refund systems.

  • Please report issues through the app first.
     
  • We’re still happy to help if you contact us, but refunds/credits must be processed by the third-party platform.
     

5. Cancellations (Food Orders)

Because preparation may begin immediately after confirmation, cancellations are limited:

  • Before confirmation: You may cancel with no charge.
     
  • After confirmation/beginning prep: Orders generally cannot be canceled or refunded.
     

If we are unable to fulfill your order (e.g., item unavailable, unexpected closure), you will receive a full refund.


6. Catering, Large Orders, and Events

For catering and pre-scheduled large orders:

Deposits

  • Deposits are refundable only if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery time.
     
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit part or all of the deposit to cover ingredient/labor costs. Catering refund practices commonly allow retaining costs already incurred. Sessions Catering + Kitchen
     

Final Payment

  • Final invoices are due by [X days/hours] before the event.
     
  • Once preparation begins, the order is non-refundable except for verified errors or safety issues.
     

7. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
     
  • Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced without proof of purchase.
     
  • Gift cards do not expire where prohibited by law. Some states require multi-year validity and cash-out of small balances. Department of State+1
     


8. How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/debit card refunds typically post within 5–10 business days (bank timing may vary).
     
  • Cash refunds require an in-person visit unless otherwise arranged.
     
  • Store credit may be offered when faster or more appropriate.
